The short version: your collection is yours, values are estimates not appraisals, marketplace deals are between collectors, don't abuse the service, no subscription ever, and you can export or delete everything from inside the app.
Diecast Garage is a collection app for die-cast car collectors: AI-assisted recognition, a shared casting catalog, community-powered value estimates, research features, sharing, and a collector marketplace. These terms cover the mobile apps, the web app at app.diecastgarage.ca, and public share pages.
You need an account for most features, created with an email and password or a Google/Apple sign-in. Keep your credentials to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account, and the data in it, at any time from the app's settings.
Photos you take, notes you write, and collection data you enter stay yours. Photos of castings may serve as shared catalog imagery so every collector benefits. Personal fields (what you paid, where you bought, your notes) are never part of that and never appear on any public surface. Anonymized price contributions improve the community valuations; you can opt out in settings.
Value figures come from live market listings and community-logged sales, filtered statistically. They are estimates for hobby purposes: not appraisals, not financial advice, and not a promise a car will sell at any price.
Listings, trades, and sales are arranged between collectors. Diecast Garage is not a party to any transaction, holds no funds, and doesn't verify items or collectors. Deal like a collector: check profiles and ratings, and report bad actors in the app.
The core app is free and there is no subscription. Optional one-time purchases (such as extra garage capacity or research Fuel) may be offered; they are consumed in or attached to your account and, where the law allows, are non-refundable once used.
No scraping, bulk-harvesting, or reselling of catalog or valuation data. No impersonation, harassment, or fraudulent listings. No attempts to break, overload, or reverse the service. We can suspend accounts that break these rules. Suspension restricts what an account can do, never its owner's right to their data.
Casting facts sourced from community wikis carry their attribution (CC BY-SA) where shown. Marketplace links may point to third-party retailers; some are affiliate links, disclosed where they appear. Trademarks (Hot Wheels, Matchbox, and every other brand) belong to their owners. Diecast Garage is an independent collector tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by any toy maker.
The service is provided as-is. AI recognition can be wrong; catalogs can contain errors; features can change. To the maximum extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada.
